Recently, I wrote a post telling the world that a Moncton landmark restaurant Le Château à Pape Restaurant was destroyed by fire a mere three days after I had eaten there. I had been there maybe a dozen times, but it had been a few years since I’d been there.
Well, a couple of months ago there was some major flooding in Warwick, Rhode Island. I can tell some of you are already piecing it together now. I was in Rhode Island the week before those floods. Yes… you guessed it. I ate at several restaurants and two of those restaurants, On The Border in Warwick and Chelo’s in the Warwick Mall, were destroyed in the floods!
Here’s a vid of the flood ravaging the Warwick Mall.
Uhm… so… Jungle Jim’s and Maverick’s Restaurants in Moncton… I’ve enjoyed your food this past week. I hope the curse is broken.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Jungle Jim’s flooded into the ocean, but Maverick’s can stick around!

I was going to invite you and your better half over for dinner should you ever find yourselves in the Durham region…but I am rethinking that.

Then pick a restaurant you don’t particularly care for and we’ll go there!
