Two Wolves
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, “My son, the battle is between two wolves inside of us all.”
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins??”
The old Cherokee simply replied: “The one you feed.”
Thanks Paul.

that same evening the grandson and grandfather went for a walk in the woods , after a few minutes they came upon two people making love behind some bushes . ” what are they doing ? ” the grandson asks . the grandfather , not prepared to discuss the situation with his young granson said the first thing that popped into his mind. ” riding a bicycle ” he replied. this seemed to satisfy the boy’s curiosity until they came upon another couple behind a log doing the same thing . at which point the grandfather took out his tomahawk and planted in the back of the man’s head. seeing the shocked and confused look on his gransdsons face he said simply , ” riding my bicycle ,”

Not quite as “zen” as the story in the post, Gary, but still a very valuable life’s lesson!
