Ahhh spring. I’ve made it no secret here that spring is by far my favourite season. I love it when the last of the snow melts away, the tulips start sprouting, and the buds start budding. This past winter was a particularly hard one and winter damage is plentiful across the province.
My place was no exception. While the damage around my house wasn’t major, it was still a little more intense than it usually is. Check out the slideshow below for a taste of my springtime woes.
That’s what’s in store for me to repair, aside from all the normal maintenance, spring cleaning and creative projects in the queue for this year.
Is it the same thing all around? What did winter do to your home this year?

omg Steve…that looks terrible. I guess there won’t be any vacation time for you this year, since you will be busy fixing things up for next winter. Maybe family should start visiting you guys, and help you with the fixing up of things.

Oh, there will be vacation, but evenings and weekends are going to be busy!

You got about the same as me I guess. I have to replace some boards in my deck that were so weathered that I literally stomped through the deck, and it’s not cause I’m a giant fatass either. Stop looking at me like that.
The vertical rain gutter tube thingy on the front of the house was completely ripped down, so I have to prop that back into place. I haven’t really looked at it either to see if it’s actually busted or not, it’s just lying on the ground next to the house.
There’s also dead leaves all over the place, I consider that damage.

Pender are you a Newfoundlander who lived on Cabot St. at one time?

Just for clarity… it’s the same Pender that left a comment on April 23rd, but a different Pender than the one who lived on Cabot Street.
Are you the same Deborah that is my wife’s twin sister? The one that can meet some random person on the internet and think that they are someone they knew from years ago?
