Random Theft
I stole an idea from my
buddies over at Steel White Table. After playing around with changing their taglines (the text underneath the blog title) with suggestions from their readers, they decided to implement a random tagline on their site.
I liked the idea enough to implement my own version, with random Newfoundland sayings.
I’ve always had a random photo appear in the upper left of my pages. Now I’ve implemented a random font for my blog title along with implementing SWT’s idea of a random tagline.
What do you think? You like it? Got any Newfoundland phrases I can add to my list?

It doesn’t look that random; the fog must be really thick because that’s all I keep seeing! Did you forget to initialize the discombobulation factor?

Well, if you keep visiting the same page, then it is kept in cache. You should have seen a change when you entered your comment. Try clicking on a category link, or a post title, the guest book… you should see the picture, title, and tagline change.

My caption changed from “What odds b’y!” to “He’s got more chew than a pack of backy.” after I posted that last comment.

Ian… it should work on every refresh now. I had a caching plugin installed, and although it was disabled, the pages were getting cached anyway. With Jody’s help, now it refreshes every time.
