In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb

Is it March already? Holy Cow, where did the month go. I just realized that my last post was two weeks ago!

It’s been a hectic couple of weeks, really. Lots of extra work, helping friends with computer repairs (and ultimately a computer purchase), readying my son for a class trip to Europe, vehicle repairs and maintenance, and snowstorms, snowstorms, freakin’ snowstorms.

In Like A LionToday, March 1, we are getting beaten yet again with another storm. Here’s hoping that the old adage is true. If March comes in like a lion, perhaps it does indeed foreshadow a meek exit of this, the longest of the winter months, in my opinion. By now, I’m usually pretty sick of snowflakes and am yearning for the thaw, the tulips, and the leaves. Not wishing my time away, but C’MON April!

But for now, I am looking forward to a morning date with a snowblower and an afternoon trip to see our son off on his adventure in Europe. In other words, a full day’s worth of reasons to cry. Oh, and after that, perhaps a few games of pool with my buddy Paul. I’m hoping he has reasons to cry after that!

If I see one more snowflake I am going to throw up. I am so sick of winter.

  2. David Penney says:

I hear you. I have never loathed winter and snow like I do right now.

  3. Deborah says:

Oh come on guys, I am here in Newfoundland wishing we would have a ‘real winter’ and not a ‘winter like it is spring with rain, rain, and rain.

  4. Paul says:

Don’t wanna bust your bubble there Willie Mosconi but there’s another 40 cm’s coming for Wednesday. Shrapen that stick up and c’mon over! We’ll see who’s gonna cry! lol

  5. Deborah says:

Can u send half of that 40 cm’s this way with high winds? I obviously enjoy a good winter, snowstorms and all.

  6. Ian says:

Glad to see your post and know that the previous one hadn’t triggered a murderous rage in your lovely wife. icon_smile

I’m only sick of _this_ winter. Snow, rain, snow, rain, rain, snow, snow, rain/snow. Every forecast seemed to contain the words “turning to ice pellets then freezing rain” or vice versa. Either be Winter, or be Spring; not both at the same time!

  7. Steve says:

Snow snow, go away. Come again… NEVER!

Deb, you can have it all. But be careful what you wish for. Remember, you’re in Newfoundland. You could get that snow in June!

Nadine, you’d better buy some Gravol. Cuz I don’t think it’s over yet.

  8. Steve says:

I’m with you on that one too, Ian. I don’t mind the snow or the rain. But both makes for a miserable winter.
