Sopranos Swansong

Jun 10 2007

There's not much on TV that really draws my interest.  There are shows out there that I like, such as Two And A Half Men, that I will watch if I happen across them, or I will cue up on my PVR and watch in batch mode; but the only show in the last ten years that has caught my faithful viewing was The Sopranos.

img_ep86_03.jpgIn about a half hour, the series finale begins.  I am sitting here waiting and wondering how it will end.  In the past weeks there has been a slow, steady escalation in activity and tension on the show with several long-running, key characters biting the big one.  Last week's episode saw the closing credits ushered in with Tony lying in bed hugging an automatic rifle.

Time to get the refreshments ready, munchies cued up, disk space cleared on the PVR, and cuddle up on the couch to enjoy the bloodbath.

Whether you die tonight or not, Tony Soprano, I'm gonna miss you.  After tonight, there's nothing worth watching on TV (except Maury Povich's DNA Tests…  I mean, who doesn't want to know if Dashawn is the real father of Dalisha's baby, Shawnisha?).

I guess I'm gonna have to get a life or something…

I haven’t watched HBO since they canned Carnivale. Just call me a little bitter.

finales are always shit. Carnivale didn’t get the chance and I don’t remember X-files having one.

I would be shocked if they release the DVD and do not all the scenarios for an ending. That is a real jackoff way to end a 6 year series. Gutless really.
