Christmas Day at the Gully Pond Asylum.

Every Labour Day on the Gully Pond Road in Witless Bay Newfoundland, the community gets together and throws a big weekend-long Christmas party. While I’ve never actually been there to participate, my wife’s family and friends are all always there. They all have a super great time, and as you can see in the picture to the right, it is a good chance to get closer to the ones you love!

They have all kinds of activities for children of all ages… from as old as 1 to as young as 75! They play all kinds of games like Survivor, Fear Factor, Texas Hold’em, Bingo, just to name a few. And, of course, there are plenty of refreshments to go around!

I hope that maybe next year we will be back in Newfoundland for that weekend. It looks like a blast!
