Back from vacation, that is. Miss me?

We spent the last couple of weeks in Newfoundland. Ate too much, drank way too much, and didn’t get nearly enough sleep. Once I recover, I’ll start posting again!

Check this out… the eating, drinking and sleep deprivation couldn’t kill me, so the moose tried. This is actually quite a common sight on Newfoundland’s highways, but we’ve never been this close to striking one before. We actually had to drive around this young bull as he stood his ground in the passing lane.

Less than half an hour later, we came across another one. The second one saw us coming and turned back off the shoulder into the brush.

With two hours of driving left, and dark coming on, we continued white-knuckled and bug-eyed until we reached the ferry terminal. Scary stuff.
