Oh Me Photo Blog!

Merry Harry!I’m SO excited! I’ve started a Photo Blog. The link to it is in the sidebar to the right (and three times in this post!)

I’ll be putting photos and comments in there that are are more directly related to events happening in and around our lives that maybe the general public won’t be interested in. I’ll reserve the Oh Me Nerves! main page for stuff that those who don’t really care about family affairs. Of course, any posts that fit under Oh Me Photos AND may be interesting to others, will be available for viewing in both places.

So, if you ARE curious about stuff that goes on in and around our lives, then tune in regularly to Oh Me Photos!. Updates will be more frequent!

Every Labour Day on the Gully Pond Road in Witless Bay Newfoundland, the community gets together and throws a big weekend-long Christmas party. While I’ve never actually been there to participate, my wife’s family and friends are all always there. They all have a super great time, and as you can see in the picture to the right, it is a good chance to get closer to the ones you love!

They have all kinds of activities for children of all ages… from as old as 1 to as young as 75! They play all kinds of games like Survivor, Fear Factor, Texas Hold’em, Bingo, just to name a few. And, of course, there are plenty of refreshments to go around!

I hope that maybe next year we will be back in Newfoundland for that weekend. It looks like a blast!

Oh me power steering!

Oh Me Nerves!

1992 CamryI bought this car back in April for $2000. It’s a 1992 Toyota Camry with 300,000 kms. It’s been a great car…easy on gas, smooth ride, low maintenance. Until this morning. When I started the car up, something burst. One of my power steering lines broke. I don’t know what it will cost me to fix it, but I’ll keep y’all posted.

What’s funny though is that my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan is going in the shop tomorrow morning because there are issues with the power steering… hmmmm.

An e-Prayer for Uncle Charle

My wife’s Uncle Charle had a heart attack yesterday evening. They rushed him into St. Clare’s Hospital and he is now being monitored in the hospital’s coronary unit.

Uncle Charle, you are in our prayers.

If you haven’t seen Nissan‘s commercial for the new Bonavista edition of the X-Trail, then you don’t know what you are missing. This is hilarious.
