Tornado Hits New Brunswick

Trees uprooted, buildings smashed and woodlands flattened, but there were no injuries as a tornado ripped through western New Brunswick on Sunday night. … The tornado hit the small community of Glassville, about 40 kilometres south of Perth Andover. Environment Canada is calling the storm an F1 tornado…

To Blog or not to blog

Jul 01 2006

We had company over tonight. At some point, the conversation came ’round to blogging. My friend Peter did not know what would motivate someone to want to blog away information about their life. “To what end result would someone do this?” What motivates someone to want to submit themselves to the pressures of providing content about their most intimate thoughts and life’e events?

I couldn’t answer his questions to his satisfaction. The best I could come up with was to express oneself. To whom and why? I dunno.

Why do YOU blog? What motivates you to read someone else’s thoughts?
